Ingredients
1 tbsp beetroot powder (or 2 oz fresh beet juice)
-
1 tbsp GRACE Elderberry Co. elderberry syrup (adjust to taste)
1 cup milk of choice (oat, almond, or whole milk work well)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
Sweetener to taste (maple syrup or honey, optional. Elderberry syrup has honey in it.)
Directions
Hot Elderberry Beet Latte
Create a paste: In a small saucepan, combine the beetroot powder, elderberry syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using) with a small splash (about 2 tablespoons) of the milk. Whisk until a smooth paste forms, breaking up any clumps.
Heat the milk: Pour in the remaining milk. Heat the mixture over medium-low heat, whisking constantly, until it is warm and steaming, but not boiling.
Froth: Remove from heat and use a milk frother or an immersion blender to froth the mixture until it is creamy and foamy.
Serve: Pour into a mug and sprinkle with a little extra cinnamon or beetroot powder for garnish if desired.
Iced Elderberry Beet Latte
Combine flavors: In a glass, combine the beetroot powder, elderberry syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using) with a small splash of hot water or milk to form a smooth paste. Stir well until the powder is fully dissolved.
Add milk and ice: Pour in your cold milk of choice and stir well to combine.
Serve: Fill the glass with ice cubes and stir once more before enjoying.
