Ingredients
2 shots espresso or ½ cup strong brewed coffee
-
1 tbsp GRACE Elderberry Co. elderberry syrup
1/4 tsp ground cardamom (or more to taste)
1 cup milk of choice (oat, almond, or whole milk froth well)
Sweetener to taste (maple syrup or honey, optional)
Optional for garnish: A pinch of ground cinnamon or cardamom
Directions
Hot Elderberry Cardamom Latte
Combine flavors and coffee: In a mug, combine the hot espresso (or strong coffee), elderberry syrup, ground cardamom, and optional sweetener. Stir well until everything is thoroughly mixed.
Heat and froth milk: In a small saucepan, heat the milk until it is warm and starts to steam (do not let it boil). Use a milk frother or a whisk to create a creamy foam.
Assemble the latte: Pour the frothed milk into the mug with the elderberry-cardamom coffee mixture. Stir gently to combine.
Garnish and serve: Top with a pinch of ground cardamom or cinnamon if desired, and enjoy immediately.
Iced Elderberry Cardamom Latte
Combine flavors and coffee: In a glass, combine the cooled espresso or strong coffee, elderberry syrup, ground cardamom, and optional sweetener. Stir well.
Add ice: Fill the glass with ice cubes.
Add milk: Pour your milk of choice over the ice and the coffee mixture.
Garnish and serve: Stir once more to ensure everything is combined. Garnish with a pinch of ground cardamom if you like and serve cold.
